About
From turmoil to transparency, Evelynroze, a 22-year-old Award-winning singer/songwriter, actress, and advocate, has been extremely open about the ups and downs of her journey. Hailing from Central MA, she strives to connect people and encourage resilience through her music, performances, and social media presence.
Growing up in a small town, Evelynroze was immersed in her parent’s broad musical taste, developing a deep love for rock and country. She quickly began singing along to songs in the car and performed for her family during holidays. Not long after, she was scouted for musical theater at just five years old. However, Evelyn faced significant challenges in school. After being put on an IEP, she was burdened with the stigma often attached to learning disabilities, which chipped away at her self-confidence and belief in her dreams.
Following that, Evelyn endured severe bullying throughout late middle school and high school, with peers mocking her singing, music taste, and fashion sense, going so far as to throw her songbook into a toilet and constantly filming and editing videos of her for ridicule. The harassment continued into early college, where rumors about the pursuits of her music career spread, and she even became the target of a hate account.
In the middle of the distress, Evelyn began writing songs as an emotional outlet, and by late high school, she had started releasing them. Her work then caught the attention of producer Donnie Klang. In college, she met guitarist Reid Plonsky, and the two played as a duo while collaborating with Donnie. By late 2022, Evelyn and Reid formed her Band to help support her music and performances. In February 2023, Evelyn was honored as "Best Upcoming Artist" at the WMA, and in 2024, she won "Best Female Vocalist." Around this time, her advocacy for mental health, learning disabilities, and anti-bullying went viral on TikTok, significantly boosting her platform and bringing new attention to her music and live shows.
Currently, Evelyn is working on her debut album. She is signed to Plaid Dog Recording in Boston and managed by Tony Fedirko of El Toro Promotions.
