“Trials of the Flame” OUT NOW!

About “Trials of the Flame”
“Trials of the Flame, the first installment of Evelynroze’s debut album, is a raw and powerful journey through the stages of reclaiming one’s spark after adversity. The first chapter, Trials of the Flame, is out now—unfolding a blend of country grit, classic rock soul, and grunge edge. With themes of grief, release, self-acceptance, and the quiet resilience of rising hope, the album captures what it means to fall, burn, and rise again.
Growing up with an IEP, Evelyn faced the constant stigma that children with learning plans are often seen as incapable. She was underestimated and dismissed from a young age. Bullied for her passion and her singing, she began to question her worth and her future. But through years of songwriting, she found her way back to herself.
Online, Evelyn became a voice for thousands of kids who saw themselves in her story—openly sharing her healing journey, struggles, and deep emotional truths. This album is her offering to them: a soundtrack for the misfits, the sensitive ones, and anyone who’s ever had to rebuild from the ashes. Because her story isn’t rare—it’s heartbreakingly common. And it’s time those stories were heard.
Artist Overview
With powerhouse vocals and a groundbreaking mission, Evelynroze is a 23-year-old multifaceted creative: a singer/songwriter, actress, advocate, and artist/media manager whose work charts a course through pain, rebirth, and resilience. Rooted in country, classic rock, and grunge, she blends a wide spectrum of influences to craft a sound that is cinematic, rebellious, and unapologetically raw, and a voice for the underdogs still fighting to be heard.
Early Life & Origins
Evelyn grew up in the small town of Paxton, Massachusetts, surrounded by her parents’ wide-ranging taste in music, often singing and dancing around the house. Her natural spark for performing quickly became clear, leading her into dance classes and eventually onto the musical theater stage at just five years old, where she discovered her enduring love for performance.
Overcoming Adversity
As a child, Evelyn was placed on an IEP due to learning differences, which began to dull her spark due to the stigma around them, comparing her capabilities to other students, self-doubt, and social isolation. Around age 11, songwriting became her escape and emotional outlet. But opening her heart through music made her a target for severe bullying. The more she shared her voice, the more others tried to tear her down. Even in college, she continued to face isolation, discredit, and rejection from peers who underestimated her.
Rise to Recognition
In late high school, Evelyn began releasing music independently, experimenting with different genres before ultimately returning to her roots in country and rock. In 2019, she began posting music and fashion history content on TikTok, where she connected with her audience through her deep love of music. In early college, she began opening up about her healing journey, candidly sharing her struggles with mental health, neurodivergence, and the challenges of chasing a dream while carrying invisible scars. Her transparency resonated with thousands of young people who saw themselves reflected in her story. Evelyn’s first viral moment occurred in her sophomore year, 2023, when a comedic skit about being bullied went viral online, significantly boosting her platform and visibility. Around the same time, Evelyn was in the process of forming her backing band and started playing gigs.
Accolades
Evelyn went on to win Best New Artist (2023) at the Worcester Music Awards, followed by Best Female Vocalist and Best Live Act in subsequent years. In 2024, she was selected for Plaid Dog’s Rising Artist Campaign, raising over $10,000 to complete her debut album. On May 30, 2025, she released the first half, Trials of the Flame, with its opening single Flame organically gaining traction after several of her TikTok videos about the song’s meaning surpassed 100,000 views, inspiring fans to use the sound to share their own stories.
Education & Vision
A recent high honors graduate of The Hartt School of Music from the Music & Arts Management program, Evelynroze approaches her career with both passion and precision. She is currently based in Massachusetts but actively planning a move to Nashville to expand her live performance opportunities, pursue label interest, and continue growing her audience across platforms.
Mission
More than just a musician, Evelynroze is a voice for the voiceless — an advocate for those who’ve been bullied, doubted, or misunderstood. Her music and message create space for healing, power, and transformation. Because for Evelyn, this isn’t just about building a career. It’s about building a legacy.
